Students will be assessed on how their tableau communicated the qualities of their candidate and why they would be fit for president. Students will also be assessed on their ability to deliberate and communicate with their group members in order to decide upon a tableau appropriate for exemplifying their candidate.

Lesson Development:
- Explain to students that part of their campaigning will include informing the people about their candidate through the use of Tableau. Introduce students to the idea of tableau and the format in which it is used.
- A tableau is a form of performing art that includes a topic, 3 words, and 3 actions, where the performer says a word while doing the corresponding action. The title is said before and after the Tableau.
- Encourage student to incorporate multiple “levels” into their tableau.
- Example, practice one
- Model an example tableau and have students practice with the topic of today’s weather. Have volunteers help you model the first tableau before sending students to practice their own.
- After the practice tableau, directly share with students that they are going to create a tableau showing/describing their candidate’s 3 qualities.
- Provide students with time to discuss, make decisions about, and practice their tableau.
